We were blessed with sunny skies and pleasant temperatures for the Four Forest and LMS/Talentia Sports Day on Wednesday, 3rd September. Students from 2nd Kindergarten through Grade 6 gathered at the Herti Stadium for a day filled with energy, teamwork, and fun.

The programme featured eight different activities, from dress-up relay races to long jump, limbo, and boules (pétanque). The limbo proved to be the surprise favourite, with students cheering each other on to see just how low they could go — a true display of both balance and resilience.

While students had the chance to earn valuable house points, the emphasis was firmly on participation and enjoyment. The event reflected our school values of community, curiosity, and integrity, as children supported one another, tried new challenges, and showed great sportsmanship.

A special thank-you goes to Secondary teacher Zac Verlaque-Napper for his excellent organisation of the event, and to all teachers for enthusiastically running each of the activities. This year’s Sports Day also marked a memorable first for our new Zug Principal, Mike FitzGerald, who started his year with a strong first sprint into school life.

True to our values, students also showed great respect for their environment — leaving the stands at the Herti Stadium in excellent condition, with barely a piece of litter to be found.

Sports Day is one of the highlights of the Four Forest Zug calendar, bringing our community together and creating lasting memories for our students. We look forward to continuing this tradition next year.
