Amy Martin is the Head of Secondary School and Designated Safeguarding Lead at the Four Forest Group of Schools, based in Luzern. Born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, she holds a dual degree in Arts (majoring in English and History) and Secondary Education. With over 15 years of experience, Amy has taught in diverse educational settings, including the Australian hospital system in both Newcastle and Adelaide, where she worked with children in mental health and oncology units. She has also served as a Middle Years Mentor and senior teacher of English and Humanities at an all-boys college in Adelaide. Since moving to Switzerland with her family in 2020, Amy has taught across both primary and secondary levels in the Four Forest Group, focusing on English, music, and art. Outside of her professional life, Amy enjoys traveling with her son and daughter, practicing photography, and exploring digital drawing.

Amy Minghetti is the Head of Curriculum and Teaching and Learning at the Four Forest Group of Schools. Born and raised on the coast of Australia in Margaret River, Amy holds a Bachelor of Education and a Graduate Certificate in Secondary Education (English). She began her career as a digital technology specialist and technology integrationist in Esperance, Western Australia, before moving to Switzerland. Since joining Four Forest in 2021, Amy has taught Grades 1, 3, 5, and 6, while also taking on the role of ICT Coordinator at the Lucerne campus. Outside of work, Amy enjoys hiking, exploring new countries, and challenging her friends to a game of cards.

James Stenning is the Executive Principal of the Four Forest Group of Schools and the International School Zurich North (ISZN). Born and raised in East Africa, he pursued his passion for education after studying Economics at university and obtaining a postgraduate diploma in education. James spent many years teaching Economics in London before transitioning into school leadership roles. He served as Deputy Principal at North Bridge House Senior School and later as Head Teacher at North Bridge House Prep School. In 2022, he moved to Switzerland to lead ISZN, and in 2024, he took on the leadership of Four Forest after it joined the Cognita family. Outside of his professional responsibilities, James enjoys running, participating in triathlons, and exploring the natural beauty of Switzerland!

Josephine Burn is the Principal at Four Forest Luzern. She is originally from the UK and grew up in Germany where she received a German and English bilingual education. A passionate musician, Josephine’s first degree was in music. Several years later she returned to education and completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a Master of Arts in Education. Josephine taught in the UK as a primary class teacher, German and music teacher before moving to Switzerland in 2013 to be a primary school German teacher and German team leader at the International School of Zug and Luzern. In 2023 Josephine took up the post of Head of German and subsequently Head of Language Acquisition at the International School of Zurich North. In October 2024 Josephine was appointed Headteacher at Four Forest Luzern. Josephine loves being creative and outside of work can often be found making pottery or singing in a choir, or walking and enjoying nature with her dog.

Kim Friedrich has a rich and diverse background in marketing and community involvement. Before relocating to Switzerland in 2021, Kim honed her skills in a sponsorship role at a large children’s educational institution in Cape Town. Armed with a qualification in Marketing and Sales Management, she has experience in marketing research and brand management. Her passion for giving back is evident in her extensive work with charity and fundraising events.

Building relationships and making everyone feel comfortable is of paramount importance to Kim, and you will be sure to receive a lovely warm welcome when you visit Four Forest. Kim is married and has three children. Outside of work, Kim enjoys travelling, hiking and spending time with her family.

Trained as a School Psychologist in the USA, Lynn has worked in a variety of roles in Education across the USA and Europe. Before moving to Switzerland, she was the Director of Educational Support in a large private school near Chicago, tasked with developing a multi-tiered academic and behavioural support system to allow all learners to flourish. She also has experience as an EAL teacher, a preschool teacher and evaluator, a university lecturer, staff trainer, and has most recently worked at Foundations for Learning in Zürich, providing assessment and intervention for children and adolescents. Outside of work, Lynn enjoys exploring new cities, cooking, music, and keeping up with far-flung family and friends.

Mike FitzGerald is the Principal of Four Forest – Zug. Mike grew up in London, and followed his passion for languages by reading French and German at the University of Durham. After working as a sports journalist for Eurosport in both Paris and London, Mike entered the world of education, completing his PGCE at St. Mary’s University College in 2007. Mike spent the early part of his teaching career teaching French, German, Spanish and P.E. in the South of England, before moving to the International School of Zug and Luzern in 2011, where he taught German and served as both a Head of Department and Head of Year. He joined Four Forest – Zug as Principal in August 2025. As one might expect of a former sports journalist, Mike is something of a sports fanatic, and enjoys spending time with his family in the mountains of Switzerland, skiing, mountain biking and hiking, as well as playing football.
