Grade 6 Camp in Tenero: A Week of Adventure, Friendship, and Fun
Our Grade 6 students had an amazing and action-packed experience at Tenero Sports Camp in the sunny Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. It was a week full of laughter, teamwork, new challenges, and lasting memories.
The journey began with a scenic train ride through the Swiss Alps, offering breathtaking views that set the tone for the days ahead. Once we arrived, students jumped straight into the fun with games of badminton, Kinball, and other energetic team-building activities. In the evening, they relaxed with card games and group challenges that helped everyone bond and settle into camp life.
The following day, we set off on a peaceful boat ride across Lake Maggiore to the beautiful town of Locarno. Students explored the cobbled streets of the historic old town and were amazed by a captivating falcon show featuring birds of prey in flight. After returning to camp, everyone enjoyed a competitive (and sandy!) game of beach volleyball by the lakeside.
Even some light rain couldn’t slow us down the next day. Students showed great enthusiasm as they tried stand-up paddleboarding on the lake, making the most of the warm weather and calm water. Back on land, they bounced high on the maxi trampoline and took part in more team games and card tournaments — always with smiles and great team spirit.
On the final morning, the students laced up their rollerblades for an exciting session of skating and hockey, showing off their balance and teamwork one last time. Then it was time to pack up and head home — tired, a little sun-kissed, and full of stories from a camp they’ll remember for years to come.
