PRIMARY SCHOOL

The Primary School at Four-Forest is a full-time programme. The Primary School follows a unique curriculum, which has been carefully put together using the local Swiss curriculum of Canton Zug and Lucerne respectively as well as elements from the British ‘National Curriculum’. The children are taught equally in both English and German on a weekly basis (one week German, one week English). All Grades are taught by two fully qualified and experienced mother-tongue teachers.
Subject areas taught at Four-Forest include maths, English, German, French, science, geography, history, music, art, design & technology, ICT, and P.E.

Transfer to secondary education

Children at Four-Forest follow a 2-year transition stage in Grades 5 and 6. During this time, the children are observed and assessed against the Canton of Lucerne’s official transfer regulations. Parents are invited to meet more frequently with the teachers during this time in order to discuss all options available to their children when they leave primary school.

Lunchtime

There is a one-hour, supervised lunch break. Children can join the catering service (price not included in the school fees), or bring a packed lunch from home.
